Land Clearance and Forestry Mulching
Large areas of scrub and overgrown shrubs and small trees can be cleared using a forestry mulcher
A forestry mulching machine or forestry mulcher uses a rotary drum equipped with special teeth to quickly shred standing vegetation and the roots of nearly everything thats in its way. Mulching machines are capable of clearing land of unwanted trees and brush with limited disturbance to soils or desirable vegetation’s so are ideal for land clearing, right of way creation, vegetation management, invasive species control, and wildlife restoration.
The forestry mulcher can be used in commercial and residential land clearing projects such as site preparation and development, overgrown vegetation clearance as well as nature and recreational trail creation. By mulching the vegetation directly back into the soil mulching machines eliminate many of the steps involved in land clearing such as manual cutting, felling, hauling, and cleanup.
This eliminates the need for multiple machines such as excavators and chippers and from an environmental and economical stance, mulching is very attractive as it can greatly reduce the need to take any green waste to the tip, the process is also very quick, saving the client valuable time and money.

Traditional land clearing methods often present an increased risk of erosion by pushing over trees, uprooting the stump and roots, and substantially disturbing soils. In contrast, mulching the vegetation leaves the soil structure intact. The mulched material can be left on the ground and will act as an erosion barrier while returning nutrients back into the soil as they decompose. Over time, grass will naturally grow through the mulch and can be maintained with mowing and strimming.
